2015
Green Buildings are need of present fast developing world for sustainable environmental management. The green buildings could reduce the consumption of many natural resources The Green buildings movement in India has started from 1974, later the three rating systems got prevalent in India, LEEDIndian Green Building Council (IGBC), TERI-GRIHA and BEE. The green building certification is a procedure to reduce energy consumption by passive architectural intrusions in the design and use of high efficient materials and technologies. It reduces water consumption mainly by waste water reuse and rain water harvesting. Green building also reduces waste generation by waste management strategies employed at site. It helps in reducing air pollution during construction because of practices like proper storage, covering of construction materials and results in increasing material efficiency, by encouraging use of local and natural materials.
