Hypophysite lymphocytaire: une cause de syndrome tumoral hypophysaire au cours de la grossesse

1993
A 33-year-old woman developed symptoms of an expanding pituitary mass during late pregnancy. Basal hormone levels were consistent with anterior hypopituitarism. The pituitary mass was removed by transsphenoidal surgery in the thirty-fifth week of gestation. Histologically, the anterior pituitary was infiltrated with lymphocytes. Visual disturbances quickly resolved. Two weeks after delivery, magnetic resonance imaging showed a pituitary mass recurrence. Prednisone therapy was instituted.
