The Cultural Tang and Temple Visiting Poems

The “Cultural Tang” is a new concept advocated by Stephen Owen in the Cambridge History of Chinese Literature (2010). In literary historiographical terms, the introduction of this concept is transformative to a magnitude that is comparable to the level of change that occurred in the natural sciences with the shift from Newtonian to Quantam physics.
