An inverse problem for electromagnetic prospection

From ground based electromagnetic field measurements, the integrated conductivity (conductance) of a thin, horizontal, inhomogeneous, conducting sheet, embedded in a stratified medium can be computed using an iterative method. A numerical example demonstrates a good convergence towards the solution for synthetic data.
