A Review of Optimum Dosage of Mineral Admixtures Used in the Manufacture of A High-Performance Concrete Mix

In the manufacturing of high-performance concrete mix, it is very important to know the optimum dosages of supplementary cementitious material or mineral admixtures. Different materials show different properties in a mix. This paper reviews the three different materials silica fume, fly ash, and GGBS being used as SCM’s, their optimum dosage and their effects on the fresh and hardened properties of high-performance concrete. as a result of this study, major findings are GGBS has shown the best results among all three mineral admixtures, it shows good strength and workability when used in optimum dosage. This study will help in deciding the type of mineral admixtures to be used and what should be its optimum dosage range to get the best results.
