Multiple osteolytic lesions — diagnostic difficulties. Case report

Multiple osteolytic foci in patient with cachexia and anaemia strongly suggest the diagnosis of disseminated neoplastic disease. We present the case of an 85-year-old woman in whom only histopatologic examination of a bone lesion in combination with clinical and biochemical data allowed to establish proper diagnosis of primary hyperparathyroidism.
