The effect on speech of surgery for correction of mandibular prognathism

1974
Abstract A study was conducted to determine whether or not there were changes in the speech pattern of patients who had undergone surgical correction of mandibular prognathism. Comparison of preoperative and postoperative tape recordings revealed no significant speech changes in this preliminary report. Additional studies will include patients with retrognathia and apertognathia.
