Multiple Viewpoints of Software Models

In order to effectively use any kind of knowledge involved in software engineering we have to have powerful means to model, package, manage, and reuse the information. We need a consistent internal knowledge representation mechanism, and at the same time we have to provide different viewpoints of the internal models for different types of users. Combining measurement information in the same models as products, documents, and processes allows us to integrate the metrics in the development process.
