Linkage Attack and Protection Mechanism for Social Network From Mobility Profile

The safety and privacy practices of end-users on social media are an essential area for research, as well as high interest for individuals and organizations. In recent years, have seen a sharp increase in data breaches and cybersecurity threats targeting social media users. Therefore, must try to understand better the factors that influence the end-user adoption of sufficient safety guarantees and privacy protection practices. The scope of this paper details a proposal that deals with the seriousness of the leaked data, which can be easily exploited by knowing where are and the places visited. A unique mechanism for attacks have been made and the use of data that brought through social media, which includes a vast number of data Users. Through the attack that carried out, it became clear to us that it is straightforward to know our friends and family, as well as the workplace and the neighborhood in our live, that is, it is possible to know our social relations quite quickly, and the matter does not stop there, as it is also possible to study the user’s behavior by some institutions and agencies. For all possible risks to the user in terms of breaching privacy and the threat of violating our site, and have created a defense mechanism that works to protect us and measure how successful it has been applied to the attack mechanism and has proven its effectiveness as the attack mechanism has succeeded by about 90%. Besides, after activating the defense mechanism, the impact of the attack was reduced to approximately 55%.
