Use of poly(3-oxapentylenedisulphide) for extraction of heavy metals from aqueous solutions

FIELD: ecology; processing and recycling of wastes. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the area of industrial ecology for purifying waste water from toxic compounds of heavy metals. Essence of proposed technical solution consists in application of poly (3-oxapentylenedisulphide) formula (-CH 2 CH 2 OCH 2 CH 2 SS-) n with molecular weight of 800-2,000 units and n=(6-15) for effective extraction of heavy metals from aqueous solutions with high degree of extraction even from concentrated - up to 5 g/l solutions. Polymer is used either in pure form or in solution of organic solvent, mixable or non-mixable with water.
