A bat and some plants from the upper Oligocene of Oregon
1959
Remains of a bat, not further identified, in strata at Fossil, are here added to the sparse vertebrate fauna reported from the lower (upper Oligocene) part of the John Day Formation of N.-central Oregon. These and correlative beds, however, have yielded a notable flora, listed here by genera as a composite. Some of its constituents, because of their nomenclatural, stratigraphic, and floral significance, receive special comment.
