The invention relates to a light emitting device (1) having a radiation-emitting element, for example a light emitting diode (LED) and a phosphor (3) which is able to absorb a part of light emitted from the radiation emitting element radiation and light having a wavelength send, which is different from the wavelength of the absorbed radiation.
