Synthesis of ortho-Hydroxyacetophenone Derivatives from Baylis-Hillman Acetates.

Abstract Synthesis of ortho -hydroxyacetophenone derivatives 5 was carried out from the reaction of Baylis–Hillman acetates 1 and active methylene compounds 2 in N , N -dimethylformamide in the presence of K 2 CO 3 .
