The invention relates to functionalized food, and particularly relates to a pumpkin polysaccharide tablet with a blood glucose reduction function, and a preparation method thereof. The functionalized food comprises the following active ingredients in parts by weight: 120-400 parts of pumpkin polysaccharide powder, 90-300 parts of MCC (Microcrystalline Cellulose and Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium), 30-100 parts of sorbitol, 20-60 parts of PVP (polyvinyl pyrrolidone):PVP K30 (1:1), 5-15 parts of PEG6000, 5-15 parts of starch and 1-6 parts of magnesium stearate. The preparation method comprises the steps: respectively screening pumpkin polysaccharide powder and auxiliary materials through a sieve of 120-160 meshes, respectively weighing pumpkin polysaccharide powder, MCC, sorbitol, PVP:PVPK30(1:1), PEG (polyethylene glycol) 6000 and starch, evenly mixing, preparing wet granules and then fast drying, screening through a sieve of 14-24 meshes and straightening, adding the lubricant and evenly mixing, and tabletting to obtain the finished pumpkin polysaccharide tablet. The product is stable in active ingredients, unified in quality standards, good in bioavailability, convenient to take and carry.
