Statistics for dentists

: Knowledge of statistics and methodology enhances the understanding of the dental literature. Most dentists are, however, unfamiliar with these subjects. Therefore, in a series of articles a number of statistical methods will be described. The present article deals with some pitfalls. Attention is given to, among others, non-response due to drop outs and several forms of bias.
