The quality of education is one of the most pressing issues in university today. Globalization from the perspective of the knowledge society imposes on university educational institutions evaluation criteria typical of the business environment. This essay develops a series of ideas that attempt to address the issue of educational quality from the perspective of a socially responsible university and from the political option of putting education at the service of citizens' projects.
