Method for authenticating position X (t) of an element (1) mobile, a mobile element comprising at least one GNSS receiver, which has a function to estimate the position x (t) of this element (1) moving, comprising the procedure, in combination, at least the following steps: - determining one or more data (21) associated with position X (t) of a GNSS receiver; - extracting a base (23) of cartographic data reference data associated with the position X (t); - determining at least one indicator (22) of coherence Ic (X) of the position of the movable member (1) establishes a consistency between about observables GNNS, using the first data associated with the X position (t) of said receptor and the reference data from the map database and associated with the position X (t); - filtering said one or more indicators Ic (X), integrating these values in a trajectory of the movable member to a range [t0, t1] given time; - authenticating (24) the position X (t) of said element (1) mobile using one or more of said indicators Ic (X) coherence and comparing indicators filtering with a given value.
