Öffentlicher Gottesdienst? - Zwanzig Jahre nach der friedlichen Revolution

Abstract Public Liturgy? Twenty Years after the Peaceful Revolution. Looking back at the public role the prayer services played in the East German peaceful revolution in 1989, the author concludes what can be learned from this about the character of adequate public Christian liturgy in general: the relation between the personal and the public, Scripture orientation, inward and outward participation, plurality among participants. Examples from current practices are given.
