El bagazo. Su empleo en composites comerciales reforzados

2006
Bagasse, the lignocellulose residue from the cane stalk, has demonstrated, as other natural fibers, its efficiency in the formulation of molded composites thermoplastics. Because natural fibers are biodegradable, their composites may offer a new class of materials providing environmental protection. In this work, important mechanical properties (tensile strength and hardness) are analyzed demonstrating that the employment of these fibers is possible for molding pieces useful in the automobile industry. Favorable results were obtained using techniques as the Scanning Electron Micrographs (SEM), to determine the better adhesion fibers-matrix.
