Effects of high quality nursing service on super aging patients with hip fracture during perioperative period
2015
Objective
To study the effects of high quality nursing service on the aged patients with hip fracture during perioperative period.
Methods
There were 96 cases of elderly patients who had acquired hip fracture in our hospital form December 2010 to December 2013. The 48 cases of control group were nursed by routine nursing. The 48 cases of observation group were nursed by high quality nursing service. The satisfaction scores of nursing and complication of all patients were counted and compared between two groups.
Results
The incidence of complications in observation group was 22.9% (11/48), that was mainly for lung infection with 5 cases and cardiovascular system with 4 cases. The incidence of complications in control group was 43.8% (21/48), that it was mainly for pulmonary infection with 11 cases, pressure ulcers with 7 cases and cardiovascular system complications with 7 cases. The complications in the two groups had significant difference (χ2=4.688, P<0.05). The satisfaction rate of observation group was 91.67% (44/48) for nursing, which was significantly higher than that of the control group 75.00%(36/48) (χ2=4.800, P<0.05).
Conclusions
The high quality nursing service has apparent effect on the elderly patients with hip fracture. It could effectively improve psychological status of patients and is helpful to reduce the incidence of complications after operation.
