The invention provides an image processing device which can rapidly choose optimumly shooted backup images and an image estimating method. The image processing device (1) comprises a first calculation part (11) for respectively calculating the estimation value of each image of plural images contained in the input image sets based on a first factor; a removing part (11) for removing images that meet the requirements based on the calculation results of the first calcaulation part (11); a second calculation part (11) for respectively calculating the estimation value of the images contained in the image sets after the removing treatment based on a second factor which is different from the first factor; and an estimation treating part (11) for establishing a sequence of each image in the image set after the removing treatment based on the calculation results of the second calculation part (11).
