Indian pump industry – growing with the economy

In the last few decades, the Indian pump industry has witnessed high growth, due to infrastructure developments taking place after independence in 1947, and demands at a local level for pumps to cater increasing populations. Until recently, Government restrictions for imports also helped indigenous manufacturers.
