Surgical laparoscopy in gynaecological practice

: The article deals with historical backgrounds of surgical laparoscopy and its use in gynaecology. Most up-to-date methods used in diagnosis and treatment of gynaecological diseases published in referential literature, are presented. Particular attention was paid to indications and contraindications as well as to possible complications which may be enccountered in practice. The other technical and methodological problems necessitating special attention are also presented. The author believes that the use of surgical laparoscopy in gynaecology must be more extensive in the future.
