Process for processing waste polyurethane

2014
The invention discloses a process for processing waste polyurethane. The process comprises the following steps: (1) preprocessing the waste polyurethane: crushing the waste polyurethane to particles of 1-20mm; (2) jointly adding the waste polyurethane particles, a decomposing agent and a catalyst into a reactor, introducing an inert gas, heating to a temperature of 80-150 DEG C and reacting for 1-6 hours to obtain a product; (3) rectifying the product between 140 DEG C and 220 DEG C to obtain a rectifying product, namely, a hydrolyzate of polyurethane; and (4) returning back the residue to be further processed with together the waste polyurethane. Since the decomposition temperature of polyurethane is low, the process can be carried out at 80-150 DEG C, the decomposition efficiency is high and the decomposed product can be separated out by rectification.
