microbiological enzymatic process for producing optically active amino acids starting from hydranthoines and / or racemic carbamoyl derivative

1979
A method for producing D-amino acids from racemic mixtures of N-carbamoyl derivatives of such acids or from the corresponding hydrantoines. The process comprises subjecting racemic compounds to enzymatic and microbiological action of an enzyme complex prepared from microorganisms of the genus Agrobacterium, in particular the strain NRRL B 11291.
