Management of Deep Venous Diseases

Abstract Office-based labs (OBLs) are efficient, streamlined, well received by patients, and the best environment for treating venous disease. It is critical to recognize that venous OBLs function as small businesses that require financial investment for initiation and maintenance. With the exception of extensive postthrombotic central venous occlusions and venous malignancy, most venous disorders can be safely treated in the OBL. The treatment of acute deep vein thrombosis will have a greater role in the OBL setting in the future.
