Fulminant hepatic failure from natural killer cell lymphoma

2000
Purpose: Gastrointestinal natural killer (NK) cell lymphomas are extremely rare. Those reported occur primarily in the nasopharynx or the upper aerodigestive tract. Fulminant hepatic failure from NK-cell lymphoma has never been reported in the absence of extrahepatic lymphomatous disease. We present a case of a 45 year-old man with fulminant hepatic failure secondary to NK cell infiltration.
