Evaluación del despacho de ambulancias del Centro Regulador de Urgencias y Emergencias de Bogotá (C.R.U.E.)

The transportation of sick or injured people presents all kinds of challenges and high risk situa- tions. Beginning with an important analysis, we will describe an ambulance service in terms of its main oper- ation parameters and variables. Using statistical tools and assisted by queuing theory, we will calculate the most important performance indicators. We will be quantified the service requirement and the real capacity to respond to any circumstance. As well, we will determine real factors about each of the process concerning the attention of an emergency in the city of Bogota, all of these looking to improve the quality of the service.
