Molecular beam studies of HeH and H3 molecules

Abstract Helium hydride and helium deuteride molecules have been produced by neutralization of HeH + and HeD + in a molecular beam apparatus. Minimum lifetimes of 10 −8 sec are estimated for these molecules. Similar experiments have failed to produce evidence for D 2 H or D 3 molecules having lifetimes of this order.
