New High Performance Polycarboxilate Superplasticizers Based on Derivative Copolymers of Maleinic Acid

2005
The method of producing binary copolymers of oxyethylated allyl alcohol and maleic acid is developed. The factors affecting the molecular weight of these copolymers are studied. The proof test of the polycarboxylated copolymers obtained as high-performance superplasticizers for concrete mixes are conducted. It is established that flowability of concrete mixes, their slum loss and strength properties of concrete depend on the length of side oxyethylated chains of binary copolymers and on their molecular weight. It is show that these copolymers as high-performance superplasticizers ensure high plasticity of concrete mixes at dosages 2.7 – 3.3 times less than those of conventional superplasticizers on the basis of naphthalene sulphonic acid and formaldehyde condensates.
