Public Perceptions Of China In Central Europe

2015
This study discusses the problem of public views of China in Central Europe. It finds that China has been increasingly active in promoting its image through a range of cultural activities organised for various groups of people. Despite of this wealth of activity, public perceptions in the region remain little favourable of China. This is largely because of people perceiving China’s rise as not favouring local societies. Finally, the contribution suggests what China could do to enhance its image in this part of Europe.
