Essence of pedagogical ideas and practical experience of training of A.S. Makarenko is revealed in the context of main trends in the historical development of national and world pedagogical classics: «the school of the studies» and «f the school of life», which compose contradictory theoretical-methodological bases. The conceptual position about the fact that A.S. Makarenko bright representative of educational pedagogy and «the school of life» is based. He is actually the only classicist of pedagogy, completely dedicated his activity to training. First of all from positions of educational pedagogy his heritage must be examined, be estimated and be mastered.
