The invention discloses a vehicle-mounted traffic signal prompt system for receiving information from a road-junction signal lamp, which comprises a signal acquisition and emission device (2) and a vehicle-mounted receiving and prompting device (3). The signal acquisition and emission device (2) is arranged in a road traffic signal controller (1) at a road junction and used for completing the acquisition, processing and transmission of road-junction traffic information; and the vehicle-mounted receiving and prompting device (3) is arranged near a vehicle instrument panel and used for completing receiving of wireless data and prompting of road-junction traffic information. In the invention, a lamp indication control signal output by the road traffic signal controller is used for guiding a vehicle to correctly judge the lamp indication state in a front road junction so as to provide a reference for a driver to judge driving actions in advance under the condition that a barrier exists in front of the driver, thus, the occurrences of traffic accidents are avoided and the life and the safety of the driver are guaranteed.
