Ferro-antiferromagnetic phase transition in a diluted triangular chromium III lattice : The NaxCrxTi1−xS2 compounds
1983
Abstract The magnetic properties of the insulating Na x Cr x Ti 1−x S 2 system are investigated by means of susceptibility and magnetization measurements (down to 4.2 K) and Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (down to 77 K). The ferro-antiferromagnetic phase transition is explained on the basis of geometrical considerations. An estimate of the value of the exchange parameter is given. Furthermore the possibility of a spin-glass behavior is discussed.
