2002
Henoch-Schoenlein purpura is a disorder of which etiology is not cleary understood and considered as an immuncomplex disease. HSP is generally presented with skin lesions but also similar lesions may occur at visceral organs and cause serious complications. In order to evaluate risk factors assciated with renal and gastrointestinal involvement in children with Henoch-Schoenlein purpura, we evaluaeted 72 children, aged 7.45±2.75 years, retrospectively. In children with nephritis and gastrointestinal involvement, age and IgA level were significantly higher than valves in children without nephrit and gastrointestinal involvement. And also in children with HSP nephrits the percent of hypertension was significantly higher than valves in children without nephritis.
