The invention discloses a GPS timing system which comprises a GPS antenna, a GPS receiver, a crystal oscillator, a counter, a 1PPS generator, a CPU controller and a timing output module. The GPS antenna is connected with the input end of the GPS receiver, the Ith output end of the GPS receiver is connected with the input end of the counter, the Ith output end of the counter is connected with the input end of the 1PPS generator, and the 1PPS generator achieves precise time output through the timing output module. The GPS timing system does not rely on the time of a satellite signal and only takes the time of the satellite signal as the reference, a clock signal is generated depending on the crystal oscillator, the time and the standard time of the satellite signal are compared with each other through an edge comparator, and the deviation between the time and the standard time of the satellite signal is continuously corrected and reduced through an adjuster, so that the precise time reference is obtained finally; in addition, a temperature sensor arranged on the GPS timing system can overcome the influence of temperature on the clock reference.
