ESTRESSE OCUPACIONAL E A QUALIDADE DE VIDA NO TRABALHO: UM ESTUDO SOBRE A PERCEPÇÃO DOS FUNCIONÁRIOS DE TI NO SETOR BANCÁRIO

This article aims to identify the main factors that influence the quality of life of the work and to analyze the main strategies of coping with occupational stress among information technology (IT) employees. A sociodemographic questionnaire, the questionnaire developed by Adrianni (2012) for Quality of Life at Work, and the Job Stress Scale, developed by Alves (2012), were used as research instruments. A total of 44 information technology professionals aged 18-60 participated in the study. The research was carried out in the information technology department of a banking institution that has its headquarters in the State of Sergipe. As a result, participants reasonably agreed that factors that support job performance, relationship and professional respect positively influence their quality of life at work, and strongly agree that the quality of life at work influences directly this phenomenon. The rewards offered by the organization was a dissonant point regarding the quality of life. The results also point out that the participants do not have a high factorial average for psychological demand, besides pointing to the existence of good relationships between employees and management, and to a satisfactory social support, which influences the low occupational stress i results in this research.
