Hidrodescloración de compuestos organoclorados empleando carburos soportados de V-Mo

2015
The alumina supported V-Mo-carbide catalysts with different activation treatments were used for the gas phase catalytic hydrodechlorinaton of chlorobenzene and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and their properties were characterized by means of specific surface area by BET N2-adsorption, H 2 -chemisorption and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results of the characterization of the catalysts exhibited a good dispersion of the metals on the support. Also, it was determined that catalytic activities were in the range between 16 and 50% for chlorobenzene hidrodeclorinacion reactions. The greatest activity was reported for monometallic vanadium. Hidrodeclorinacion reactions in catalytic conversions for PCBs were around 40% for the reduced vanadium catalyst and sulphide. The catalysts studied are effective in removing organochlorine compounds.
