The National School Feeding Program is managed by the National Education Development Fund (FNDE) and aims to transfer financial resources to the executing agencies of the program to partially meet the nutritional needs of students enrolled in elementary school education public and philanthropic. The objective is to evaluate the insertion of the Program in the administrative context of the municipality of Capitao Poco - PA. The study was carried out in the municipality of Capitao Poco located in the State of Para, belonging to the mesoregion of northeastern Para and the microregion of Guama. The FNDE in the year 2017 made available an amount of R $ 1,196,470.00 reais for the purchase of products destined for school meals in the municipality of Capitao Poco, of this amount, R $ 462,902,70 reais were used to purchase products from family farming. corresponding to 38.75% of the total used. It should be noted that all suppliers of family agriculture come from the municipality in question. One of the main success factors for the construction of institutional markets is the need for organization and cooperation among farmers, with their representative entities, and finally with the public authorities to access the markets. In addition, the organization of family agriculture facilitates the performance of Technical Assistance and Secondary Rural Extension. The above amounts indicate a value of 38.75% for the purchase of products from family agriculture, estimating that the municipality is meeting the minimum requirement of 30% in accordance with Law 11,947 / 2009.
