Phase function in nucleus--nucleus scattering

The Glauber-Sitenko eikonal approximation is used to develop a method for calculating the nucleus--nucleus elastic scattering amplitude in the optical limit in the atomic numbers of the colliding nuclei and for calculating the corrections due to nucleon correlations and to the finiteness of the atomic numbers of actually interacting nuclei.
