2017
Social security is a universal right of the life of the human being. It is essential for a society be protected from contingencies of requiring labor over the course of the time (Solis Soberon, 2009). In Mexico, there are several types of social security systems, including the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) and the Institute of security and services social of the State workers (ISSSTE). These systems have different classes of insurance. Various countries of the world have variations on unemployment at advanced age, and old age, by which workers were pensioned at the end of their working life. This study is based primarily on an analysis of pension and retirement of workers at the service of the Universidad Autonoma "Benito Juarez" de Oaxaca (UABJO) and the impact the pension has on the finances of the University. We propose reforms to the current system of retirement. We illustrate reforms that have occurred. Mention is made of the chronology of social security since its inception to the present day. We compare the laws of IMSS 1973 and 1997 in the field of pensions. The methodology analyzes benefits the University gives to its workers; as well as pensions and retirements that workers receive at the time of removal. We analyze reforms made by some universities in the field of retirement. Actuarial studies of the educational institution are analyzed
