Coupled methyl groups

Abstract Solids that have coupled methyl rotors may have more than one tunnelling frequency. The tunnelling frequencies of three such solids, (CH 3 ) 2 O, (CH 3 ) 2 S, and CH 3 COOLi·2H 2 O are analyzed in this paper.
