Structure of Stearoyl ACP Desaturase of Pistacia Chinensis and Other Plants Was Predicted by Bioinformatics Methods

2009
Protein structure prediction by using bioinformatics can involve sequence similarity searches, multiple sequence alignments, identification and characterization of domains, secondary structure prediction. The secondary and tertiary structure of stearoyl ACP desaturase was predicted by bioinformatics methods from the mRNA sequence. The stearoyl ACP protein, as a member of plant fatty acid synthesis protein, reported by several plant species of Arabidopsis, Pistacia Chinensis , Brassica nap,Eudicots, Malpighiales ,Fabales, Solanales, Malvales, Cucurbitales, Lamiales, Apiales and Poales, this protein exhibits an important effect for fatty acid synthesize reaction. Using bioinformatics analysis of resource category gene function of stearoyl ACP protein, to study protein structure, to clone the full-length of a differentially expressed cDNA fragment, stearoyl ACP desaturase and others 84 stearoyl ACP desaturase, and study its biological function tentatively for plant fatty acid synthetase mechanisms. A combination of bioinformatics methods of prediction of fatty acid-related proteins in higher oil plants {Pistacia chinensis), and then combining the experiment demonstrated will be of great theoretical and scientific value.
