Temperature relaxation of plasmas in a magnetic field

Abstract In connection with electron cooling of ion beams the relaxation of non-equilibrium plasmas is studied with the help of molecular dynamics (MD) computer simulations. Results from linear theories are critically examined and extended to stronger coupling.
