The CEA-ECA Stirling cycle energy conversion system a review of test and development status

The CEA-ECA Stirling cycle energy conversion system has been developed and tested in several phases, from component testing to the testing of a complete system. Early test results are presented for the system as well for such components as heat pipes and thermal energy storage. In addition to underwater propulsion other important applications are indicated.
