Julie Seiber announced that Lynne Rosetto Kasper has resigned her position on the commission with regret due to a family illness that requires her time and attention. Becky Timm led a discussion about strategies for getting support for the commission's recommendations and personal contacts commission members and partners have that would be helpful in refining the recommendations and gaining support when the time for that comes.

Plans for the Community Engagement Meeting to be held on May 9 at the Hallie Q. Brown Community Center, 5:30 – 7:30 were discussed.  Commissioner Victoria Reinhardt, Chair of the Ramsey County Board, will welcome the group.  Attendees will then be invited to visit any or all of the tables that will be set up for each of the five task forces.  There will be summaries of the draft recommendations with several means for those attending to interact and leave comments about the recommendations. Commission members will be at the tables to engage in discussion along with an intern who will help make sure all of the comments are recorded.
