Precision technique of pancreatoduodenal resection

: Precision termino-lateral pancreatico-jejunal anastomosis with or without mobilization of the pancreatic duct, with the use of inert suture materials in pancreatoduodenal resection was conducted in 21 patients, 3 of them died. Incompetence of the anastomoses was not encountered. The number of patients treated by radical operation increased almost 2.5 fold, and was 27.4%. The authors consider inclusion of the stump of the gland into digestion together with other conservative and technical measures to be most promising trend in the prevention of incompetence of the anastomoses and postoperative pancreatitis, in improvement of the results of pancreatoduodenal resection, and in expanding the scope of its use.
