Impacts of materials on the intensity of uniform static magnetic fields using a multi Helmholtz coils design

2020
Impacts of different materials (cartoon, PVC, wood, plastic, iron, glass, and Mild steel)) on the intensity of a uniform static magnetic fields (SMF) proved through designing a multi Helmholtz coil connected in series. The design provided a magnetic field ∼ 4 mT depended on applied currents and the distance between the coils, also it has provides an area of 25 cm square with a constant magnetic field of 3.1 mT. The results indicated that the materials of cartoon, PVC, wood, plastic, and glass has no significant impacts on exposed magnetic field (lossless of SMF). However, materials of iron and Mild steel were in a significant (∼0.66) mT and highly significant (∼2.3) mT impacts on SMF, respectively.
