Residual anticaries effect of repeated topical sodium fluoride applications by mouthpieces

1969
Teeth treated daily for 21 months with topical applications of sodium fluoride gels had a significantly lower caries increment than untreated teeth. Also, teeth exposed to an acidulated sodium fluoride phosphate gel absorbed more fluoride in enamel layers of similar thickness than teeth exposed to plain sodium fluoride gel applications.
