2018
The 24 nature notes project was part of the China-Canada reciprocal learning program. Teachers from the sister schools designed and implemented the project. Follow the same set of dates, students from both sides conducted their outdoor observations, collected data, and produced presentations of their works. Regular skype meetings were arranged for exchanging ideas and work. This study aims to understand how Canadian teachers and students perceived this project, how effectively the project was implemented, how Canadian and Chinese teachers and students learned from each other, and what were the challenges that teachers and students faced. Data were collected through observation filed notes, meeting minutes, student works and interviews. The results showed that the project was a positive opportunity for both sides to gain cross-cultural understanding.
